* Dr. Anne Crichton was Professor Emerita at the University of British Columbia (UBC). Appointed as Associate Professor at UBC in 1969, Dr. Crichton retired in 1985 after a lengthy career with the Department of Health Care and Epidemiology (now School of Population and Public Health).  She established the MSc program in Health Services Planning and Administration in 1970, and served as its first Director. Dr. Crichton published extensively in health services planning and policy, with special reference to community health services. Dr. Crichton passed away on 11 January 2007; thereafter, the Western Regional Training Centre for Health Services Research (WRTC) has dedicated its first seminar in January to her memory by hosting the Anne Crichton Memorial Seminar.
